Architect Gustavo Arango is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and holds a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design with a specialization in real estate from Harvard University.
With more than 20 years of experience, the founder and general manager of ARANGO ARQUITECTOS S.A. leads a team of more than 30 architects, interior designers, urban planners and engineers committed to the highest standards of quality, environmental sustainability and customer service.
The leading firm has been responsible for the design of a large number of high profile residences, multiple commercial projects such as TORRE ARGOS, ATRIO MALL, CORPORATE TROPIGAS, and numerous projects in the main urban developments in Panama, including BUENAVENTURA, SANTA MARIA, and BIJAO BEACH RESORT. The work of the firm has been awarded by the International Property Awards of London and highlighted in the pages of the Robb Report, Travel & Leisure, Magazine Summa, Axxis among others.
The work of Architect Arango and has been exhibited in Italy, Singapore, Spain, Mexico and the United States. Architect Arango has been a lecturer at the Boston Architectural Center and the University of Arkansas, E.E.U.U, Melendez Pelayo Institute, Spain, the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Mexico, and the Architecture Congress of El Salvador.
Achitect Arango is a member of AIA (American Institute of Architects), USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) and EO (Entrepreneur Organization). Architect Arango was co-founder, president and vice-president of the Green Building Council of Panama (PGBC). He has been director of the MAC (Museum of Contemporary Art), member of AMCHAM (American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama) the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA).
Before founding ARANGO ARQUITECTOS S.A., Architect Arango worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in New York, and Clement and Medina, S.A. In Panama.
